"Feeling cozy and comfortable in the Pfalz"

Below you will find a lot of great information on the beer garden and restaurant Bremerhof and the area the locals call “die Pfalz”
In English, die Pfalz is the Palatinate, der Pfälzerwald is the Palatinate Forest and the words pfälzisch or Pfälzer describe anything related to this area.
Beer Garden Beer Garden
The season at the beer garden Bremerhof lasts from spring to fall. The people of the Pfalz gather here, whether they are young or old, rich or poor to experience „pfälzische Gemütlichkeit“ – a sense of cozy and comfortable well-being - while enjoying a glass of beer or a wine-schorle. In addition a traditional „Brotzeit“, a variety of German breads, meats and cheeses, is served.
The Bremerhof has been in existence for more than a hundred years and is today one of the most beautiful places in the Pfälzerwald. During the 50’s and 60’s the Bremerhof made history as an important part of the cultural life of nearby Kaiserslautern. It was well-known for its dance- and music events.
Located in the heart of the Pfälzerwald, on the outskirts of the busy city of Kaiserslautern, the Bremerhof can truly be called a jewel and an oasis where you can experience cultured Pfälzer hospitality. Old chestnut trees form a roof under which you can enjoy a freshly tapped beer or coffee and cake with friends and family.
Regulars and international visitors alike find relaxation from their every-day lives or from travel at the historic beer garden Bremerhof.
As one of the most beautiful beer gardens of the Pfalz, the Bremerhof serves as place to rest for hikers, bicyclists and people out for a walk and is just as often itself the very destination for many.
Customers can indulge in typical Pfälzer dishes, venison specialties or original „gefüllte Hoorische“ (dumplings made from raw potatoes, filled with ground beef or liver, typically served with sauerkraut and a cream-sauce with beacon-bits) which the Bremerhof is famous for. We recommend a cold glass of beer or a wine-shorle with these dishes. On Thursday evenings customers have the opportunity to listen to live jazz music while sitting under beautiful old chestnut trees.
Young visitors can release their energy on the nearby forest-playground.
The historic beer garden Bremerhof is definitely a worthwhile destination with its romantic, charming and very cozy atmosphere.
